Back from Germany

Yesterday I returned from my ten day trip to Germany. It was a busy trip, so my blog updates will be delayed as I go through hundreds of photos, dozens of receipts, some personal notes and one heck of a sinus headache (I don’t remember packing that for the trip).
When photos do get posted, they’ll [...]

Slightly Underwater

Saturday, February 27, 2010 … somewhere over the Atlantic …
I like living a full and rich life with many interesting hobbies. The downside is that I never seem to have time to do all of the interesting things in my life. Right now I take this as a blessing in disguise, whenever I have the [...]

Bad Flight Bingo

Thursday, February 25, 2010
Thursday’s flight back home from San Francisco wasn’t bad … but it contained all of the stereotypical elements of a bad flight.
My work travel has picked up a bit from last year, so it’s back in the air. Wednesday morning I left Atlanta for San Francisco, Thursday night I flew back home. [...]

I took a break from the Olympics, booking last-minute plane tickets and uploading photos to watch some Top Gear clips at their website. The banner ad placement at the top of the page was perfect …
Yes my friends, a LifeLock banner next to The Stig. That is an identity theft protection ad appearing over the [...]

Love in the Time of the iPad

With the Super Bowl behind us and the promise of spring around the next ice-covered corner, I have some free time to think about technology. Specifically, how the world has a love-hate relationship with a device that hasn’t even made it to stores yet …
Yes, it’s time for Brian to talk about the iPad.
As a [...]

The New Vision of Space: Trek or Firefly?

President Obama’s FY2011 federal budget plans to put NASA Constellation out to pasture. Does this put the future of human spaceflight in question? That depends on your vision of the future … is is based on Star Trek or Firefly?

U.S. President Barack Obama is asking Congress to give NASA $19 billion in 2011 to pursue [...]

If you came here just looking for a review of the latest Sherlock Holmes film, I’ll make it quick … it was great. I highly recommend it. Even if you’re a fan of the books I think you’ll be pleased.
But this post isn’t a general movie review. As a video producer and martial artist I [...]
