Then it turns into a Dilbert cartoon …
“RIM notified its clients of the outage in an e-mail.”
How do Blackberry users get e-mail? On their Blackberry, the device that can’t get e-mail due to the outage. Duh.

If you haven’t heard, the economy is a little rough right now. Not as rough as one might be lead to believe watching the news, but bad enough that politicians want to look like they’re doing something useful.
Suzan and I went to see Charlie Wilson’s War last night … a fantastic movie. It has great dialog, good scenery and very solid acting. Yeah, a lot of naked women as well … but they’re actually contributing to the plot (the reader, she thinks I’m kidding).
After spending a lot of holiday shopping time looking for movies on DVD, I really appreciate a good movie.
So let me get this straight …
You dress up in a weird suit, put on a fake beard, talk in a funny voice and pretend to be someone else in a mall in December. You’re a normal part of the holiday season. This is accepted behavior. People are paid for this on a regular basis.
However …
If you do this any other time of year, you’re called a “cosplayer” and considered a freak. People laugh at you. Mall security follows you and may ask you to leave the property.
I’d like to thank my state and local officials for making another lame attempt to solve the Georgia drought. The total inability for a coastal state to try and find sources for water is a little embarrassing (hint: how do you think all of those African deserts get water).
So what’s our latest plan … prayer? I think we’re taking the wrong approach.
Forget what you think about “global warming”, “climate change” or any other weather altering phenomena … how the heck do a bunch of climate researchers and Al Gore win the Nobel Peace Prize?
