Yes, I’ve been out of touch lately. Work is only part of the reason. Hobbies have also contributed. But a lot of it is just needing time to decompress and think about what I want to be writing.
I don’t tend to make resolutions at the beginning of a new year. This year, my camera(s) and I have a goal.

I went to AnachroCon’s Time Traveler’s Ball as a paying guest, hoping for a chance to work on my photography skills. What I left with is a better appreciation and understanding of the steampunk phenomenon.

That isn’t a complet ebarn yet. We have the concrete & complete structure in place, but it needs a lot more… stall walls, plumbing, interior walls, insulation and electricity (just to name a few).
Still, it’s a lot of progress in about one month. My wife is very happy right now
In one week I managed to touch on all of my dormant hobbies with a manic vengance. I might even keep them going after I recover.
For someone in the technology business, there is nothing more disappointing that having your technology fail you when it’s needed the most.
