It’s an important day to me for three reasons …
1. It’s Suzan’s birthday (hello my lovely wife)
2. My grandfather and dad were both in the military
3. The more time I spend looking at today’s politics, the more I see how right the founding fathers were when they setup this country.
The photo above is of my grandfather, Captain James M. Roberts (US Navy 1923-1958, USNA Class of 1927). Thirty one years of military service put him in the build up to World War II and The Korean War. Even with several friends currently serving, everytime I try to put a face on a soldier his keeps coming to mind.
