Yet again, I look out my window to see construction on my property …

Last time it was demolishing the old house. This time it’s building a barn in its place. Not our usual trips to Home Depot with a trailer to buy bags of concrete and 2×4 lumber, but an actual construction project with a contractor and his crew.

I must be getting older, since I now want to pay people to build things for me rather than go out on the weekend with a bucket of tools and do it myself. But this is the “real” barn Suzan has always wanted, with power and plumbing … so that means a set of professionals converging on the GeekFarm with survey equipment and concrete trucks.

It’s not as cheap as our little weekend projects, but it’s something we want to build once and use for years. The horses will never know what hit them :)
