At least we got a hat
So July 4th wasn’t everything it should have been … not bad, but not what I was hoping for on my wife’s birthday.
Here’s the short, short version (grammar & commas be damned) …
Morning: Loganville’s first annual July 4th parade. Lots of fun, lots of photos (Suzan’s still editing her set, they should be up today), and more people than I was expecting. I put the photos on our business site’s photo gallery, since it’s related to the community & Suzan’s wish to be paid for her shutterbug
Afternoon: hide from the sun, edit parade photos, contemplate buying Suzan a new camera so I can use hers instead of the old Kodak (yes, I am starting to like photography again). Eat lunch, go to Fry’s, return yet another wireless keyboard, sigh, spend more money on a name-brand keyboard, find an office chair Suzan likes, discover said chair is not in stock.
Evening: go to Braves game (last minute decision, considered a good way to see fireworks), watch Braves give up 6 runs in 6 innings, get rained out, leave early, listen to Braves resume play at 11:30am on car radio, drive home damp & without fireworks, Braves loose sometime after midnight.
So, not exactly a stellar celebration of my wife’s 35th birthday & the independence of our great nation … but it was free hat night at the stadium, so now we have two hats for our trouble. I still got to spend a mostly-fun day with my spouse, and that’s always a good thing.
Now I need to spend July 5th trying to wake up & get some work done … yawn …

We got rained out for the Lenox show, too.
Or so we thought–turns out they did them later anyway. So we missed out.
We almost got rained out, but we watched them from the Old Railroad Bridge near MacFarland Park in Florence, AL. I ‘m sorry you guys were rained upon. *hugs*
