Welcome to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport … press any key to continue

Multi-hour shutdown of the world’s busiest airport caused by bad software …. *sigh*
Worse yet, the software that caused the problem is designed to “test” the TSA agents. This means the people they are hiring are assumed to be incompetent and need to be poked in the [insert body part here] every few hours to keep them from letting guns/bombs/alligators/chainsaws into the terminal.
Pardon me while I go back, look at how much I paid in taxes to the government, calculate how many dollars I’ve contributed to the TSA through “September 11th fees” on my plane tickets, and buy a good bottle of whiskey to help numb the pain.

"Images of bombs and other suspicious devices that are hard to detect are put up on the X-ray machine, followed after a brief delay by an alert that reads, ‘This is a test.’"
Damn, I can just imagine what that does to everyone’s nerves. Look, a bomb! Haha, just kidding! They arrest passengers who do that.
Okay, I have a new plan … everyone who has a trip through ATL in the next few weeks needs to make a card for their luggage.
Get a heavy piece of paper (cardstock, coverstock). Cut out the words "this is a test" in tin foil and glue them to the cardstock.
Put this cardstock in your carry-on luggage so it’s face-up when it goes through the x-ray. This will cause the screeners to see the words "this is a test" spelled out in your luggage.
