Haiku32 … even Haiku needs an upgrade
I’m not sure who originated this new standard, but even poetry can benefit from the wonders of the software industry
Haiku32 is a new standard for haiku’s which doubles their capacity!
As you are aware, a legacy Haiku is a poem with 3 lines which do not rhyme, but consist of 5,7, and 5 syllables respectively. The new standard, Haiku32 increases the poems capacity to 6 lines alternating of 10 and 14 syllables. Additionally, Haiku32 adds support for rhyming lyrics (Haiku32+) and can lead with either a 10 syllable line (default) or a 14 syllable line (Haiku32.)
Thus, Haiku32+. is the official designation for a Haiku32 compatible poem which rhymes and starts with a 14 syllable line.
Lets see Haiku32 in action!

How·ev·er, by ahead of sched·ule you must know what we mean.
Its not as far be·hind as ex·pect·ed.
That is to say, one gen·er·al·ly expects them to be late.
When you hear a re·lease date add one year.
like grad·ing on a bell curve, where a “C” can be an “A”.
Notice, the proceeding Haiku32 example uses official Haiku32 annotation, which by explicitly defining each syllable eases error correction! Keep in mind though, Haiku32 annotation is an optional extension to the Haiku32 standard and may be dismissed to increase backwards compatibility.
Additional notes:
Haiku32- A difficult implementation where no word is repeated throughout the entire Haiku.
Haiku32# A Haiku that supports 133t gibberish.
We hope the new Haiku standard will both ease your Haiku implementations and augment your enjoyment of them!
