New cube, new desk … no wonder I can’t find anything.
Today is my first day out of sales & marketing in several years. I’ve moved from the “technical evangelist” (geek in sales/marketing) to an engineer manager position. It’s not new territory for me, it’s just not where I’ve been working since 2001.
They moved *most* of my stuff to the new cube. I still need to hang the Dilbert cartoons, untangle the network cables in my desk drawer and make the place look less deserted. It’s still weird to not be in the same old cube, but it was time for a change.
Now, where is that stapler?

Does this job mean less time away from home?
Congratulations on your move up in the world! (Hope it’s a move up, at least.)
This job means almost no travel for Brian. If I see interesting parts of the world now, it will probably be while on vacation.
Whoa, cool. Congratulations on the change.
