Plates

There’s a lot more plates in the dishwasher then normal …

Suzan and I have a friend staying with us off & on for the next few weeks. She’s going through a messy home situation (long story involving court dates & roomates) and is staying with friends on a rotating basis (see good people, doesn’t wear out her welcome).

We’ve cooked breakfast together the past few mornings, something that rarely happens when Suzan and I are home alone. Many pans & pots were dirtied along the way, displaced from their shelf homes to temporarily reside in a dish rack.

Having tea & eggs with friends seems to make her happy, gives her a feeling of home. It’s the least we can do while she’s sorting out the next phase of her life … of course, it helps that it makes me feel more at home. Despite dirty laundry & piles of unedited video clips, it’s never bad to take time for breakfast with friends.
