I break my long duration of infrequent posting with a July 4th update from Athens, Alabama.
Suzan and I went to visit friends for the 4th. Amy, Jeff, Mary, Wes, Jason & their friends all live in the Greater Huntsville Non-Metropolitian Area, and their state has more lenient fireworks laws … so we jumped in the PT Cruiser and drove over to Alabamastan.
Suzan got her usual birthday fireworks, being born on the 4th. We’re not the type to make a big deal out of birthdays, so it’s nice to have a gathering as an excuse for age-related fun.
Now I’m blogging from Mary’s couch (yay technology), waiting for the rest of the sleepyheads to rise & stumble off to break…er, lunch … I guess we stayed up late last night. We’ll drive home in a few hours, ready for the mundane post-holiday work schedule.
I have posts on Karate College, video hobbies gone pro, Dragon*ConTV and landscaping that will eventually make it to the web. Right now I will hit ‘submit’ and finish my tea.
Oh, yeah, it was a holiday wasn’t it?
I tried to spend the entire day desperately not thinking about the fact that it was the 4th and that my blood was screaming for barbecue.
