It is with a heavy heart that I announce the retirement of my dear old PentiumPro 150MHz server.

According to Section 74.5 sub-paragraph 3 of “The Weblogger’s Code of Conduct (unabridged edition)”, I must make at least one holiday-related post (no links to FARK allowed, pictures are optional, consult your local ordinances for details).

 20 Dec 2004 @ 12:36 PM

Suzan and I finished the ritual decoration of the holiday tree … okay, our artificial tree (the big pipe cleaner that looks somewhat like an evergreen).

It’s 6:15pm in Dulles and I’m in the security line. Of course, everybody else is in the security line … and everybody has a flight to catch.

You know this has to end badly for somebody.

Okay, I think I got enough tin foil on the rabbit ears to get a strong signal … we’re back on the air. Thanks to Sprint for cutting off Gareth’s T1 line just when I was ready to start posting travel news.

Of course, my T-Mobile Sidekick II went off the air yesterday, too … so I had most of a day unable to compose and post from my SideKrak (there was withdrawl, it wasn’t pretty).

I haven’t had a chance to write up last week’s trip to Japan or the party at Ruth’s … I’m already booking a day-trip to Dulles for Wednesday (sigh).

Of course, I have to read this while I’m booking the flight (courtesy of FARK). Glad to know I’m not alone in thinking Dulles is a dump.

There’s a small group of people dancing to a cover band in the private-party room … well, they’re gyrating in some form or fashion, doing more to set back the cause of caucasian-kind than Vanilla Ice ever did.

There are ninteen people at a large table trying to ignore the party. I am one of them.
