Well, Suzan and I are back in Atlanta, on solid ground after two long flights and one long layover. We’re in the shuttle bus back to thr car, ready to drive home & do laundry.
Suzan and I are at home with Bird, one of my coworkers in the Taiwan. We’ve been wandering around Taipei’s coastline & hanging out with Bird’s family before heading to the airport. The oriental phase of our vacation is almost complete.
Yes, I have lots of pictures … over a hundred on the digital camera, plus Suzan’s 35mm photos and some video. I’ll be busy editing photos next week in Brunswick while Suzan is at her food service conference.
Taiwan did get a taste of the typhoon, but Taipei was only affected for a short while Monday morning. My conference is scheduled for tomorrow, restructured to try and fit two days of content into one.
Once my laptop & video camera start talking, I have video of the early morning wind & rain. Pictures of fallen trees & displaced bits of buildings will be posted later.
The good news is that I don’t have to go to the convention today. The bad news …

It’s 12:29am in LAX. Suzan and I are almost ready to move to the boarding area. Our flight to Taipei will be our second session in the comfy chair.
