The story so far …
Okay, I am alive … just buried under my current silly video project, work and the joys of home ownership.
Home … water, water everywhere. Finally saw the need to get a dehumidifier for the basement (bits-o-mold on the fabric & the beginnings of a musty smell), added a three-stage drinking water filter to the kitchen sink, need to clean the barn gutters before Suzan brings her new horse home.
Work … about to take four days off for Dragon*Con, going straight from con to Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco (speaking engagement). Need to update the Microsoft Project file from hell before I leave, along with writing an article for LinuxDevices.com & making sure the office doesn’t burst into flames when I leave.
The Silly Video Project … dragoncontv.com, which is almost complete. No, really, I’m pretty much ahead this year. Of course, me & my little band of crazy volunteers worked our collective ass off and I think we’ll scale back for next year (more short videos, fewer long projects). Amy & Geof are working on the website redesign (thank you, thank you), and Amy is ripping what’s left of her hair out playing my spare brain (thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you).
Our last hurdle for DragonConTV 2004 is the Masquerade intro. As usual, we’ll pull that one out sometime late Sunday

Enjoyed seeing y’all Friday night – it’s been too long!
What kind of water filter did you get? We need one.
Is it okay if we find you an Suzan at D*C, as points of contact in case Katie can’t find one of us? Sort of backup responsible adults?
It was great seeing you all as well!
The filter is a Whirlpool model. It has it’s own faucet and installs underneath the sink. Very easy to install if you have a punch-out in your stainless sink (we just removed the useless soap dispenser from ours.)
Feel free to tell Katie to contact me if she has ANY trouble at all. I’ll be in the Harris room from 2 p.m. to until ??? daily. If I’m not in there, whatever Tech Staff person is working that room will know how to find me.
If Suzan’s not there in Harris, I’ll be in there and I’m always glad to hunt her down for a friend.
