Shopping for my wife has always been a challenge. So I used the latest Georgia Ren Fair as an excuse to go shopping. With one swipe of the credit card, I think I managed to get Suzan’s anniversary & birthday present all in one.
Yes, I bought my wife a sword.
Of course, not just any sword will do … this is an actual weapon, a carbon-steel “hand and a half” shortsword. It does take a bit of trust to buy your spouse a short sword, so it’s a gesture as well as a nice home decoration.
Now I have goats (one more baby came Thursday), house, friends, cats, horses and edged weapons. Yay me.
I need to get one of your goats over here to mow my back lawn. =P

No, actually it’s by another company though Starfire was at the Faire and also had some very nice items.
Nothing says love like sharp, pointy metal–chocolates melt, flowers die, but *weapons* are forever.
