Ouch, ouch, ouch … I hate leg cramps. A really bad one hit me at 5:00am, a great way to wakeup on a Monday. I’ve had these before, right on the calf muscle just under my right knee. My body is trying to tell me that I’m low on water or vitamins, or my hip is out of line (stupid weed eater).
Anyway, as usual these days, I’m behind. I’m not done with the next SaJiDo DVD yet, which I want to finish & take to Karate College on Thursday. I’m days behind on this very weblog, missing stories of my Mom’s visit and my adventures with Romeo the Goat. I’m especially behind at work, buried under more PowerPoint than I wish to think about.
Maybe I’ll get caught up over the next few days … or maybe I’ll just go walk off this leg cramp.
So it was a busy weekend for Brian & Suzan Richardson. Here’s the summary …
Friday night: Meet Amy, Jeff & Jason; see Lewis Black, sit in random folding chairs, sweat, laugh
Saturday: lunch @ Where The Ribs Are; Amy, Jason & Jeff run to town; Brian & Suzan return large malfunctioning TV in exchange for large functional TV, braving Sam’s Club on a Saturday; Jeff runs off to see friends, leaving Amy & Jason to drink & watch large TV with Brian & Suzan; staying up late follows
Sunday: sleep in, Jason drives home, Dad visits house, enlist Amy to help with farm chores, early to bed
Our Friday night adventures on MARTA will soon follow as it’s own siliconchef.com entry. Stay tuned …
Shopping for my wife has always been a challenge. So I used the latest Georgia Ren Fair as an excuse to go shopping. With one swipe of the credit card, I think I managed to get Suzan’s anniversary & birthday present all in one.
Yes, I bought my wife a sword.

You can tell when a blogger is really busy … they don’t post anything meaningful for days.
Yes, I have been busy. The house is coming together, I have spent a lot of time getting my friends to help me on Dragon*Con TV videos, and I am spending more time with my wife.
Yeah, the wife … that woman who uses up the other 50% of my bedspace. More time with Suzan is good. More time with Suzan that doesn’t require chores or large home purchases is better … much better.
We saw a movie last week, we’re probably going to be slack and do something fun-ish this weekend (might even leave town … who knows?). Moving and cleaning and other new house tasks are moving forward, but they are combined with a bit of sleeping in and cozy couch time.
Life has been stressful so far this year (house, job, life, etc.). We’re coming around, and now the married life is coming back to a happy state (not that we fight or anything, we’re just getting away from being roomates and back to being a couple).
So if my website goes silent for a while, just know I’m enjoying life at home.
