Turns out when I say I have too much house, I’m not kidding. Some confusion between the framing crew and the builder have produced a few extra square feet of covered screen porch. Too bad the porch isn’t that big on the plan.
When I called my builder to inform him of the extra wood, he said “Perhaps I should take a look at that” in a fairly unamused voice (Rick Wages is a great guy, so I don’t think he actually ever gets mad … just less amused than normal).
Wow, it is a big house. You thinking about the culture shock yet? I can almost hear you now "Suzan where are you, I can’t find you" …
Or how about the desk spreading syndrome a year or two into it. "Wow this house is starting to fill up"
