I am thrilled that Lost In Translation won awards at the Golden Globes last night. I didn’t watch the ceremony, but hearing the winners on the radio this morning made me happy.
Yes, as a geek, I am also thrilled that LotR got rewarded … but Lost in Translation was a small movie that had a good chance of slipping under the radar. As a frequent visitor to Japan, that movie made me feel like I was in Tokyo again (minus the love story and bad singing). That movie was so detailed, they even got the drive back to the airport right (yes, that set of roads will really take you back to Narita Airport).
Lost in Translation is in my NetFlix queue, but I may end up buying it when it comes out.
Okay, movie fan ramblings over … now back to your regularly scheduled website.

I agree – I was delighted Lost in Translation had such a good night. I have my fingers crossed for the Oscars as well…
