Sorry I haven’t put up any home progress pics lately … with the rain & cold weather, not much interesting has happened until today. After a few days of grading, folks showed up this morning to pour my garage & basement floors. Framing begins next week (sweet).
Cats + Crawlspace + Poorly Installed Ductwork = Brian in a crawlspace at 7:30am in 22 degree weather.

I am thrilled that Lost In Translation won awards at the Golden Globes last night. I didn’t watch the ceremony, but hearing the winners on the radio this morning made me happy.

Our dear old goat Peanut died yesterday morning. He was fourteen, which is really old for a goat (in human terms, he would have been about 100). We think he just gave in to old age. I’m sure he’ll run right past the staff at the pearly gates, jump the fence, and find a nice spot to graze.
Well, the neighbors probably think I’m building a bomb shelter. The basement & foundation walls have been poured. Crews showed up at 7:30am today to finish up before the rain moves in. If all goes well, they’ll pour the basement floor next week.
