Everything Must Go
To all geeks in the Atlanta area … here’s a way to get some cheap computer hardware and help a worthy non-profit organization.
I am involved with TECH CORPS Georgia & Free Bytes, two Georgia non-profit groups that merged earlier this year. TECH CORPS Georgia provides computers & computer training to schools & non-profits, while Free Bytes recycles & refurbishes computer hardware to keep TECH CORPS stocked with equipment … all of which helps the environment by keeping computers out of landfills.
TECH CORPS Georgia will hold a one-day sale on Saturday, December 6th. Excess inventory from the Free Bytes location will be sold to the general public to raise money for the organization, as well as reducing the amount of equipment we have in stock so we can move operations to a smaller location (save money, more streamlined, etc.).
Most equipment in the sale runs from $1 to $5. Items like 15″ monitors sell for $20, working systems start at $10 … and the list goes on. Door prizes will also be given away.
If you cannot attend and still want to support the organization, visit the TECH CORPS Georgia website.
