HouseXP: Moving Forward
Well, we did it … we had “the meeting” with our builder. Our bank got the financing issues worked out, so we are go for paperwork. The builder is working on the official paperwork required by the bank, which I will deliver on Tuesday.
They should be able to start digging the foundation in November. Once they get started, it should take 4-5 months to complete. HouseXP may actually become a released product in early 2004!

Congrats!
HouseXP Home Edition 2004.
One question, though. Does it come complete with Windowz File Protection?
w00t! We are go for geekfarm 2.0, over.
Yes, Duckie … I will be protecting my Windows with BlindsXP(tm), which prevents unauthorized outside intruders from looking at my port interfaces.
Rock on!
Don’t forget to install kitty walkways near the ceiling, so that ‘dite and Freya can divebomb visitors (HouseXP licensees) at *their* leisure.
Congrats! November 7 is always a good day to start anything on. I mean, my life started on that day.
Woot! Course there’s always the OpenHouse option, which would take a community of volunteers years to build. The first version would have a framework, but no walls. Roof wouldn’t come till the third release, and doors are optional until the 2.0 series. If you want windows, you have to install the emulator yourself. However, when built the house would be stable (strong foundation), secure (thick walls, great security system) and free (beer, speech, whatever)!
Bah…it’s still vaporware until we see the actual release.
But ‘gratz on actually getting closer to a beta version.
Coolness! Congrats!!!!
Never heard of a house described as ‘vaporware.’ *laugh*
