Pushing Back The Release Date

I have joked that my new home is a software project … every time a problem comes along, we just push back the release date.

Due to the appraisial value, the bank cannot loan me enough money to cover the builder’s quoted price. According to my loan officer, who has built three houses in the Loganville area, my builder’s quite is way off base. He’s recommended four builders I should talk to. So Suzan and I have to start all over again … look for a new builder, check out his work, go though plan modifications. Plus I need to patch a few problems on the current house which I was going to ignore, based on the assumption I wouldn’t be in the house that much longer.

I am now officially changing the name of the new home from “Geek Farm 2.0″ to “HouseXP”. If I ever get to the point where I name it “Geek Farm Forever”, shoot me. Maybe I can outsource this to India …
