I am hosting video downloads from my home server, which is not working for some reason (not the server, but the whole “mapping the server to the internet” thing). I’ll either have to move them to another server or find a way to undo Bell South’s voodoo.
So I’m finally back home. I used some of my frequent flyer perks to get a first-class upgrade from San Diego to Atlanta. The flight wasn’t very full, so the upgrade was easy. I guess most folks don’t fly out of San Diedo on a holiday weekend.

I had an interesting time in New Orleans last week. WinHEC, the Microsoft Windows Hardware Engineering Conference, was somewhat interesting. From a professional standpoint, it was a good way to make contact with Microsoft employees and see what’s going in with their future products. From a geek standpoint, it’s entertaining to watch them explain a technology without actually explaining the details of how said technology works.
