Weekend Update
Let’s catch up on the life of Brian, since I’ve been too busy to post this week.
Sunday … Cirque de Soleil. Nuf said.
Monday … work. Nuf said.
Tuesday … meet with bankers to discuss construction loans. Try to spend rest of day off seeding back pasture. Use profanity at lawn mower when it dies in field. Stupid battery. Stupid fuel filter.
Wednesday … not a bad day. Finalized travel to Japan, Taipei & New Orleans (not at the same time, but all within several weekd of each other).
Thursday was my 31st birthday. I had a quiet dinner at home and got some nice gitfs. I had spent the night before listening to the weather radio as nasty storms moved through Georgia. The tornados missed us, but the barn flooded in the heavy rain (as it always does).
Friday evening was spent at {{link http://www.peopletv.org/ People TV}}, an Atlanta public access television channel. I’ve started to be a regular guest host on ‘Tech Support’, a live call-in computer show. We did a show on digital video. It went a little weird … the VGA-to-TV convertor went into PAL mode (freaky video), there was about 14 secnds of black broadcast (oops, wrong button), and puppets made an appearance on the show (no good explaination for that one). Next week is all about video editing, something I have a {{link http://www.siliconchef.com/archives/00000210.html bit of experience with}}.
Saturday was spent in home improvement mode … barn cleanup, Home Depot expedition and a bit of profanity directed at my lawn mower. The “safety mechanism” on my riding mower is FUBAR, so it shuts off every time I put it into gear. Stupid class action lawsuits … can’t a guy seed his lawn with just the slightest risk of physical injury. That will require a trip to Sears.
Saturday night was spent at Cost Plus Workd Market, utilizing the gift card Suzan bought for my birthday. I stocked up on wine, kitchen gadgets and supplies required to utilize my new thai cookbook (thai food … mmmmm).
Today will be spent completing various home/barn projects and having lunch with recently married friends Joyce & Aaron. I need to edit their wedding video sometime soon. I look forward to this little video project, since their wedding was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in my life.
