Thanks to the wonders of sniffling co-workers, I now suffer from flu-like symptoms. What started out as a lingering backache on Sunday became a high-grade fever & stuffy nose this morning. So I’m at home. My day has consisted of answering select e-mails from work, drinking an assortment of homeopathic remedies and wallowing in the shit that passes for daytime television.
In other words, I’m being a bum. At least I’m smart enough not to share these lovely symptoms with my fellow cube dwellers. I might work on some video stuff, assuming my head stops spinning from the effects of feverish sweating.

Considering that 1) I’ve gotten everything else this winter and 2) Alabama is at "epidemic" levels for the flu, I’m floored that I haven’t gotten it yet.
Next week would rock … I could take the week off and burn long-term sick leave.

I have way too much coming up soonish. Bleh. I refuse to book time to get sick. I guess I’ll just have to avoid all of you in the meantime.
Brian - give up on the daytime TV - there’s nothing. Probably not even worth trying. You’ll be better off napping and giving Dite and Freya the feline adoration they rightly deserve.

Sorry to hear that you got sick. I’m with Amy, though. Turn off the tube and lavish the deities with attention.
