Cold … so cold …
This is bullshit! If it’s going to get cold, at least get to a single digit so I can see if my thermometer uses leading zeros.
This “cold in the South” thing must be a result of not winning the Civil War (a.k.a. War Between The States … no war is “civil”). We must have signed some “weather sharing” clause in the surrender agreement.
Even worse, I think my propane tank is running low. It’s too damn cold!

10 degrees isn’t cold enough for you??? The cats & I huddled togehter last night – times like this I LOVE the fact they are round little furballs (and can ignore that they give me presents of hairballs)…
A little cold builds character. Yeah, that’s it. Look at it this way, nature is providing refrigeration for beverages for that football thing this weekend.
according to the radio it was 8 degrees when I went to work this morning. Weatherbug says 10 now though.
Well you could have my luck and have frozen pipes. THIS SUCKS!!!!
I am going to track down the builder of this house (who put water pipes on the outside walls of the house) and stick him in a deep freezer for 6 months.
Ouch! Frozen pipes are bad bad bad…
How about putting the builder on the outside of your house and make him be the pipe insulation???
Sean: You gotta get in the habit of running water through those pipes every few hours. We have problems with our pipes freezing sometimes in the winter too — pipes that the builder ran through an interior wall too close to the outside wall.
Of course, maybe you don’t have enough insulation between the pipes and the outside wall in an absolute sense, and cant prevent them from freezing.
This is our problem. Crap exterior siding, crap insulation. When this house was built, it did not have to conform to any building codes.
We had two faucets and one bathtub running last night. the kitchen sink stopped working at aound 10, and the others were toast by this morning. it is now about 3:30 and things have still not unfrozen. one problem is that our water main may have not been buried deep enough. I need a shower.
I refer you to my living accomodations!
Thankfully, the pipes inside the Outhouse didn’t freeze … but leaving a couple faucets running very low did that. But the garage was not so lucky …
Oh, and this isn’t cold. What was amusing, though, was the fact that each flight destination on Friday got warmer … and I was going to da UP.
