Hasty Party Organization
We decided to throw a party together at the last minute. Alice is in the den watching Monsters, Inc., Suzan is reading the rules to Illumaniti, and Aaron and Joy are on the way with a friend of unspecified origin.
Thanks to my {{link http://wondergeeks.net/ pals in Alabama}}, Suzan and I went on a game shopping spree yesterday. The holiday party over the weekend got us hooked on card games like Apples to Apples and Fictionary, so now we must spread the infection.
Work was pretty much a waste of time. Not much happened, and nobody really cared. My boss spent a lot of time dowloading videos of the new Porche 911 that friends sent him. Thic caused us all to stop what we weren’t doing and watch, which caused my boss’ boss to question if this European car could smoke American made counterparts. This resulted in a short session of non-work related internet usage, which lead him to conclude that the Viper and new Corvette would outperform the 911 in most areas. He was singing “God Bless America” as I headed home early.
Now I will spend the rest of my year with friends … drinking, eating pizza, acting foolish and wondering what I will do with the next 365 days.

I highly recommend Fluxx & Chrononauts (both from Looney Labs). Wizards of the Coast & Gamekeeper stock them. More info is at looneylabs.com
Note: Fluxx’s newest edition is now 3.0 – stores still have 2.1 in stock.
My friend Joy brought Fluxx, which we played by candle light at our Power Outage Party. It’s like Calvinball with cards.
