In sickness and in health

Suzan and I are midway through our Christmas vacation. However, our colds have not taken anytime off. We are sharing the wonders of a very nasty, very prolonged and very pervasive illness. It doesn’t knock us flat, it lingers within us. This creeping crud has claimed Suzan’s voice and is trying to make my glands swell to the size of limes.

We are at Stage Two of vacation. Stage One was spent at Sugar Mountain in North Carolina. We spent quality time with my brother, mother & mom’s fiancee (yes, it’s official … there’s a ring to proove it). Now we’re with Suzan’s parents in South Carolina for the official Christmas celebration. Stage Three will be the {{link http://wondergeeks.net wondergeek}} Pan Holiday Party (PhP for short) in Alabamastan.

I will create web-like updates of our vacation adventures when I get time, perhaps this evening. We’re going to see LoTR:TTT at 2:00pm. After that I must prepare 4.5 pounds of beef roast for a long winter’s nap (by “nap” I mean an overnight sleepover with broth, veggies and seasonings in a large crock pot … Suzan’s grandmother banned turkey from the holiday celebration).
