The transfer of my cerebral cortex into my Sony Clie PDA is going well. But tragedy has struck … I have already broken the stylus. The Sony came with a nice stylus, metal body with a screw-on plastic tip. The tip broke today, breaking at the screw threads that attach the tip to the body (gravity is a cruel bitch).
I was planning to shop for a PDA case at lunch today … looks like I need to get a bonus pack of PDA pointers as well.
So I had one of those days in the air on Tuesday … both of my Delta flights were delayed due to “low ceiling”.

So I spent a few dollars at the company’s overstock sale … but I think I came out ahead. I have always been a “frugal shopper” (i.e. cheap bastard). Every year AMI dumps all the old computer equipment in an internal yard sale. Whatever doesn’t sell is either donated or sold for scrap.
Some of the stuff is gold … some of the stuff is scary … and some of it is a peek into the sordid history of the computer industry.
